Licensing Course: Property Management
To become a Property Manager in South Dakota, you need to complete a 40-hour course on “Fundamentals of Property Management”. In today’s world, a Property Manager must be able to do more than “babysit” a building. The professional Property Manager is aware of his or her responsibility to provide satisfactory accommodations for residents of a building and also to provide an appropriate return on the property owner’s investment. This course will help you become aware of the many varied aspects of successful Property Management.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is designed to help you understand License Law, Rules & Regulations, the landlord tenant laws, and the fundamentals of property management. Learn about your responsibilities to clients, the correct way of advertising, trust accounts, security deposits, agency disclosures, and written agreements. This course will help you become more professional and help you pass the Property Managers exam.
Tuition includes your textbook and all course materials. We recommend you register early. We require a non-refundable $100 deposit. We will send the textbook to you the same day, so you can read the book prior to class and be better prepared.
